Greyhound Racing

Started from 1932, Greyhound Racing is a traditional gambling sports in Macau, attracting many tourists from every corner of the world. Greyhound Racing takes place at the Canidrome on Avenida General Castelo Branco.


These races are held on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays and weekends starting from 7:45 p.m. and there are 18 games on every racing evenings. There are three kinds of tournaments, which are 350 yards, 510 yards and 550 yards short races. Each race consists of 6-8 greyhounds racing with each other in jersey of different color.


Admission is MOP$10, which can’t be used for betting, for the public stand. From Monday to Thursday, boxes are MOP$80. From Friday to Sunday and in Public Holidays, boxes are MOP$120. There is a minimum charge of MOP$30 per person.

Generally, you can bet inside the Macau Greyhound Racing centre. Also, you are allowed to bet in off-course betting centre which is located on the G/F of the Hotel Lisboa, Jai-Alai Palace and Kam Pek Casino. It’s very convenient to you to enjoy the excitement of racing.
